Celebrate “National Night Out” at Local Block Parties

This Tuesday marks the City of Seattle’s 30th Annual “Night Out Against Crime” Block Party. “Night Out” is a national event promoted in Seattle by Seattle Police Department Crime Prevention. It is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, increase neighborhood support in anti-crime efforts, and unite our communities. To see a full map of registered parties, click here

Want to take part in a party? Here’s four block parties we found happening near and around Green Lake:

    1. Bethany Lutheran Church’s “Potluck in the Parking Lot” 
      Address: 7400 Woodlawn Ave NE. (corner of Woodlawn and Latona)
      Time: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m
      Description:
      Celebrate the evening with an outdoor BBQ and homemade ice cream. Bring some food to share and join the fun, with music provided by Olympic Brass Ensemble. For more information call (206) 523-4454 or visit www.bethanyluth.org.
    2. Hearthstone and Village Cove’s “Block Party at the Hearthstone!”

       1st Ave NE between E Green Lake Way N and Woodlawn Ave NE
      Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

    3. 67th Street Neighbors Night Out
      Address: Neighborhood block party for neighbors between Lindsen Ave. N and Fremont Ave. N on 67th Street.
      Time: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

    4. Freeway Estate Community Orchard’s Night Out
