Summer Camps in and Around Green Lake

It’s not too early to start planning summer camps for the kiddos. Here’s a few that are in and around Green Lake.

Seattle Parks and Rec Summer Camps
Green Lake Community Center has several Preschool summer camps: Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 1. Different themes each week.
There are also several offered for school-aged kids
School aged camps at Ballard Community Center.

Camp WITS
(Writers in the Summer) is offering two weeks of half day creative writing workshops for students entering 2nd through 12 grades. Camp WITS is comprised of six sessions divided by age. Each session meets once per day, Monday – Friday, from July 25th through August 5th. For a full list of classes go to their website.

Summer camps at the Zoo
From ages 3 – 14, the zoo offers a number of programs for kids starting in June.

Kinder Camp
Half-day ages 3-4 years
Full-day ages 4-5 years

Zooper Day Camp
Half-day ages 4-6 years
Full-day ages 5-9 years

Discoveries Day Camp
(cooperative program with Seattle Children’s Theatre)
Full-day ages 5-7 years

Zoo U
Full-day ages 10-12 years
Full-day ages 12-14 years
