Graffiti on the Rise in Green Lake Park
If you think you’ve seen more graffiti around the lake, sadly, you’re right. According to the Seattle Parks Department the amount of work orders that were issued last year to clean up the mess more than doubled from three years ago.
In 2010, Green Lake Park had 71 work orders to clean up the graffiti and in 2013 that number rose to 151.
No word on the cost to clean that up, but chances are, it isn’t cheap. Since 2010 the Parks have spent nearly 530 work hours for the 465 occurrences of graffiti.
