It’s a party at a different kind of bar(re). Since opening their Green Lake location last month, Pure Barre, the latest gym to grace Green Lake, wants to give back to the neighborhood. The barre studio will open its doors for an official grand opening party this Friday, August 22, at 6:30 p.m.

The evening starts early at Pure Barre, with a special donation-only class at 4:15 p.m.  The class will be festive and techno-themed, neon colored clothing and a sense of humor are encouraged. The recommended $10 donation will benefit Lifelong Aids Alliance of Seattle.

The official grand opening party will begin soon after at 6:30 p.m., with music provided by a live DJ and spirits from Bluewater Organic Distillery, including a specialty cocktail made especially for Pure Barre called – wait for it – the “Tuck-tini.” Free, mini massages and special giveaways will also be handed out.

Pure Barre Greenlake is located at 406 NE 71st St., and offers nearly 40 classes per week. Pure Barre is a workout technique that combines ballet conditioning, pilates and yoga. A single class costs $23, but there are several options including 5 and 10 day passes and 1 month packages, ranging from $105-$340.
