North Seattle Crime Ring Busted
An interesting follow up after our post last week about how short staffed North Seattle area police are and how many burglaries are going unsolved in our area.
The Seattle Times reported today that four people were arrested in what police are calling a ‘prolific’ crime ring. The four arrested were found in the University District and are suspected of stealing mail and packages as well as burglarizing cars and homes for the past several months. According to the article, police found evidence that the crime ring used the stolen mail to also steal people’s identities.

It will take police a while to inventory all of the stolen goods. Currently police have not supplied a number for burglary victims to call to retrieve what they believe may be their property, but when they do, we will post it on the site.
And just to be on the safe side, it may not be a bad idea to check to make sure your identity has not been compromised using these steps from the Federal Trade Commission.
