Run Prepared: A Self Defense Class at Green Lake

About: Fighting Chance Seattle will offer a free one-hour version of their Self-Defense for Women class on Green Lake to help female residents feel empowered and aware when going for a run. The class will be specifically modified for runners. Open to women only (minors age 15 and above may participate with a parent present). About: A beloved Green Lake tradition, the Thanksgiving themed running and walking event brings droves to run. The event consists of a 10K run/walk, a 5K run/walk, a free kids dash and a post-race celebration that includes the crowd pleasing Mashed Potato Munch Off competitive eating contest and an onsite beer garden.
