Lantern Brewing and Tasting Room

In the category of new(ish) to the hood(ish)… Lantern Brewing opened a tasting room earlier this year in the Greenwood neighborhood. And as one of the closest tasting rooms to Green Lake, we thought we’d share our recent find.
Focusing on Belgian and French styled-beer, Lantern uses locally sourced ingredients such as Washington malts, hops and fruit to brew its beer.
Lantern’s new beer releases include:
Bonneville – Dry Hopped Belgian style Pale Ale, a substantial flood of hops held in check by a massive edifice of malt. 7.2% ABV, 73 IBU.
Des Moines – Belgian style Dark Strong Ale, this flavorful dark winter ale is built with layers of caramel and malt and finishes with dark toffee, dried fruit, and spicy flavor notes. 8.9% ABV.
Au Brun – French style Bière de Garde, this auburn ale has a smooth and malty backbone balanced by a crisp hop finish. 6.5% ABV.
Lantern Brewing 938 North 95th Street. Tasting room hours include Thursday 5-9pm, Friday 4-9pm, and Saturday 4-9pm. Beer available by the glass, bottler or growler.
