Call to Artists: Help Shape New Urban Pocket Park

Calling all local artists!

The Weedin Place Steering Committee of the Roosevelt Business Group (within the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association) has issued a call for artists (or an artist team) to create public artwork on the border of Green Lake and the Roosevelt neighborhood. The art will be integrated into a new urban pocket park at Weedin Place between 65th Avenue NE and NE 8th Street. The call is open to artists and designers working in the United States, with a preference given to Pacific Northwest artists. The total budget for artwork is $100,000.

Art Project Timeline:
February 9th, 2015 – application open
March 23rd, 2015 – deadline for proposals
April 6th, 2015 – 3 finalists announced
May 18th – 26th, 2015 Finalist interview with selection panel (exact date TBD)
May 26 – Finalist presentation at Roosevelt Community meeting
