Improv at SPT

April 22, 2015 7:28am

Do you like improv? Are you in grades 7-12?

Seattle Public Theatre has an Improv Ensemble and rehearsals start soon.

Here’s the logistics from SPT:
Work with award-winning theater director Shawn Belyea to develop your improv skills, physical comedy chops, and verbal dexterity. The ensemble will then tour local elementary schools with a performance that re-invents and re-imagines classic fables with the audience guiding you every step of the way! A wonderful way to expand your theater skills  while sharing your love of performance with the younger generation.

Rehearsals begin April 28. No experience necessary; tuition assistance available. Register at http://www.seattlepublictheater.org/youth-programs/ or email Simon at admin@seattlepublictheater.org

The SPT Touring Improv Ensemble was an idea that came out of the Youth Program Advisory Council. To find out more about SPT, the YPAC, and how you can get involved, contact Education Director Shana Bestock at shanab@seattlepublictheater.org.
