Are you spring cleaning and looking to donate to a good cause? The Literacy Council of Seattle, an adult literacy nonprofit based in Ballard, is holding a drive to collect books for their upcoming book sale in June. The nonprofit is looking for all genres of books, new and used, but they must be re-saleable (in decent condition and please, no textbooks, out-of-date manuals, etc.).

Books can be dropped off in Loyal Heights (email jcollins@literacyseattle.org for more info) or directly at the Literacy Council office (8500 14th Ave. NW). And, if you happen to have a library full of books you are looking to donate, Literacy Council can also arrange pickups.

And if you are looking to get a few new books, look for more details coming soon on their June 6th sale, where all proceeds go to benefit LCS community literacy programs.
