Are you spring cleaning and looking to donate to a good cause? The Literacy Council of Seattle, an adult literacy nonprofit based in Ballard, is holding a drive to collect books for their upcoming book sale in June. The nonprofit is looking for all genres of books, new and used, but they must be re-saleable (in decent condition and please, no textbooks, out-of-date manuals, etc.).

Books can be dropped off in Loyal Heights (email for more info) or directly at the Literacy Council office (8500 14th Ave. NW). And, if you happen to have a library full of books you are looking to donate, Literacy Council can also arrange pickups.

And if you are looking to get a few new books, look for more details coming soon on their June 6th sale, where all proceeds go to benefit LCS community literacy programs.
