Memorial Day sure feels like the start of summer, but when it comes to Greenlake’s beaches and the wading pool, we’re going to have to wait until the actual start of summer to start our splashy fun.

The Greenlake wading pool, the hottest venue in the toddler set, is slated to be open for business daily starting June 27. Hours will be 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., provided there’s sunny, warm weather.

When it comes to Greenlake beaches, they’ll be open with lifeguards on duty starting June 20, weather permitting, from noon to 7 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

FYI, If the skies are looking gray and you want to make sure you can keep your wading pool play date on the calendar, call the Seattle Parks & Rec hotline at 206-684-7796 by 9 a.m. to find out if it’s opening that day.

In the meantime, if you’re down for a bit of a drive, feel free to get your splashing fix at Green Lake’s Evans Pool or Mounger Pool in Magnolia – it’s open to the public now.

Our Goldfish crackers and beach towels are packed, y’all.
