Proposed Development in the Heart of Green Lake
A proposed project may replace Rosita Mexican restaurant’s parking lot with a six story apartment building containing 40 small efficiency and studio dwelling units. Developers of the structure also propose adding parking for 11 vehicles.
If you are unfamiliar with this area, this is only a block away from the new Green Lake Village complex and an area that causes many to circle the block at least once or twice looking for parking.
A public meeting is scheduled on August 10 at University Heights Community Center where citizens can voice their opinions. Comments can also be received by emailing prc@seattle.gov.
This is of course, one of many proposed projects in the Green Lake area. Another, which is on Green Lake Dr. N in-between 82nd and 83rd, has a public comment period open on July 27th (go here for more info.)
So get out there and let your voice be heard. Want these complexes to come in? Great! Tell them. Want modifications… now’s the time to tell them that too.
