Bookmaking Event at Mockingbird Books August 8
Former staff artist for the Seattle Post-Intelligencer turned children’s book author/illustrator Wendy Wahman is creating ‘Insight books” at Mockingbird Books on August 8, and you can join in.
What’s an Insight Book? Wendy describes it as “art and writing, collage and doodling. It’s improvisation with yourself. You start with nothing in mind, then a line or color triggers an, ah ha! and you put that down. One line (written or drawn) leads to another. Anyone can make one. Non-artists surprise themselves by making art. When you’re done, you a hold a book in your hands. Your book. Your insights.”
