How You Like Them Apples? A City Fruit Cooking Class

via City Fruit
Ever heard of transparent apples? I hadn’t, so I was immediately interested when I heard that City Fruit was hosting a cooking class with these new (to me) apples.
Apparently, transparent apples are a unique, early season apple with a sharp, tart taste. They can be identified by their light green skin. Their bold taste make them a perfect candidate for cooking a wide variety of recipes, according to City Fruit.
The class will teach participants to make apple butter, apple chips and sauce, all of which will be available for participants to take home.
The class is July 18, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Wallingford Community Senior Center
4649 Sunnyside Avenue North
Seattle, WA 98103
