Ever want to make your own park? Sure, we live by a big beautiful park but you can never have too many parks, am I right!?
International PARKing Day is September 18 and allows Seattleites to temporarily turn on-street parking spaces into public places. This international event raises awareness about the importance of a walkable, livable, healthy city and helps people re-think the use of city streets.
To make your own park for the day, you need to follow these guidelines and submit an application by no later than August 28.
Last year, 50 pop up parks sprouted up for PARK(ing) Day – the biggest participation yet. Perhaps this year one will include Green Lake?
