Green Lake has a new brunch spot and it includes two of my favorite (breakfast) words eggs benedict. Green Lake Ale House opened a few months ago and is perhaps the most under the radar spot in Green Lake to get a nice quiet brunch with just about any kind of hearty “breakfasty” entree you could imagine.

But back to those benedicts. I had the Southwest Benedict which included house baked chipotle cheddar corn bread as the base, a chorizo sausage patty with a poached egg and fresh pico de gallo. Oh yes and there were tots. Breakfast tots. If you are a traditionalist you can also get the classic benedict. This is normally where we’d include a photo, but as soon as the benedict arrived… it was devoured. So you’ll have to try one for yourself.

The menu also includes vegetarian options such as the veggie scramble that was a rainbow of colorful veggies and very filling, Belgian waffles and a yogurt parfait.

And, if you are 21 and over, you can enjoy a brunch happy hour from 9 -10 a.m. (in the bar) which includes $6 breakfast entrees.
