Looking for things to do to keep your school aged and pre-school aged kiddos busy this week? Get them a library card. And right now the Friends of the Library is doing a push to encourage parents of kiddos age 6 and under to sign up for their first Library card from The Seattle Public Library. If they do, they will get a free tote bag from the Friends of The Seattle Public Library. The bags are specifically chosen to fit picture books and accommodate the smaller stature of the Library’s young patrons, according to the Seattle Public Library.

The Friends developed the totes to celebrate National Library Card Sign-Up Month.

For more information, visit the My First Library Card page, call the Library at 206-386-4636 or Ask a Librarian.
