If you’ve passed by the Green Lake Bauhaus, which shuttered in December, you may have wondered what was up? The once busy coffeeshop has remained a tiny time capsule of the day it shut its doors three months ago with food and products still on the shelves like they could reopen at anytime.  The sudden closure left many questions.

Today however we noticed an eviction notice from the Sheriff’s office warning that they will be entering and carrying out the eviction tomorrow, March 9. A ‘For Lease’ sign was recently posted just to the right of the notice. In inauspicious end to what we was hoping to be a long run with a locally owned coffeeshop. Bauhaus also closed its Ballard and Capitol Hill location around the same time.
