What to do in Green Lake Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day is almost here and while there are a ton of festivals and events around Puget Sound there are some fun events and activities in and near Green Lake to enjoy during this three day weekend.

Here’s a few of our favorites:

Rent a boat or board at Green Lake Boat Rentals.

Enjoy a coloring staycation at the Green Lake Branch Library

All ages. No registration required. Coloring sheets, pens and snacks (!) are provided.

Take a swim in Green Lake

Green Lake’s east swimming beach opens this weekend to swimmers.  The hours are May 28 – June 24 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends.

Kick off patio season with extended happy hour at Agrodolce

Just on the fringe of Green Lake’s border,  Agrodolce is kicking off patio season with an extended all night happy hour from 4:30 p.m. – close, Friday-Monday.

Summer Concerts at the Locks begins May 29.

Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy tunes and entertainment at the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks starting this Sunday. The event continues throughout the summer on most Saturdays and Sundays through September 17, 2016. From lively marches to show tunes to classics and jazz, each week will feature a different lineup of music.
