via EcoWatch
Interested in what Seattle is doing to prepare for climate change? Want some light reading over the holidays… umh not exactly.
The City of Seattle released a draft plan about how we are preparing for the impacts of climate change. It is a pretty high level document that lays out a range of strategies for how we will prioritize actions and investments in order to ensure Seattle’s economy, public health, and built infrastructure remain strong in the midst of a changing climate. The City of Seattle is currently seeking comments until January 6.
The sections to pay close attention to are “Community Preparedness” and “What You Can Do.”
Send comments to Tracy.Morgenstern@seattle.gov or mail to PO Box 94729 Seattle WA 98124-4729 before January 6.
