What to do When Your Street Light Goes Out
I recently looked out our front windows and realized something was off. Like really off. The entire street was dark. Our street light was out. Thinking I had to spend who-knows how long on the phone handling this with the city I let out a pitiful whimper. But after some quick googling I found out that its actually much, much easier.
If your streetlight goes out Seattle City Light has a website form just for you and it takes about a minute and a half to fill out. All you will need is the seven digit number on the side of that street light along with your personal information (just in case they encounter a problem) and (they claim) within 10 business days the light will be back on. And if they can’t get it back on they will notify you. And if sending off this “ticket” isn’t enough of a verification that things are actually going to get fixed, you can track progress too.
