Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club’s Duck Island Race Series
This summer series is open to all human-powered paddle craft. After the race stay for a hot dog or veggie dog and share a potluck dish among the other racers. For more information about this series, check out our recent post.
August 18 and 25, races start at 6:15 p.m.

Windemere Summer Splash at Green Lake
The yearly event includes a family fun fair with vendors, mini rowing regatta and a chance to try watersports such as canoeing, kayaking, rowing and paddle boarding. This is free event is family and dog friendly.

Swim at Green Lake’s East Swimming Beach
Lifeguards will be manning the beach monday – friday 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. but only until August 27th. If you want to swim in the lake with lifeguards present you have a few extra days over at the west green lake beach (7312 W Green Lake Dr N)
