Green Lake Library Temporary Closure Begins Dec 17

December 7, 2017 9:22pm

Best to get your holiday reads ordered from the Green Lake Library early this year. The Green Lake Branch Library will temporarily close at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 for construction work to repair dry rot surrounding the skylight above the entry. During this time the book drops also will close. Because the work involves the use of scaffolding, heavy equipment and maneuvering long beams, the branch and book drops will close for the safety of staff and patrons.
The branch is expected to reopen by the end of the year. Because the closure is so brief, holds will be temporarily suspended. Holds not picked up by 5 p.m. Dec. 17 will not be available until the branch reopens. Patrons do not need to take any action – holds will be automatically restarted once the branch reopens. Patrons who want to pick up their holds at another branch while the Green Lake Branch is closed should contact staff before 5 p.m. Dec. 17.

Greenwood branch will likely be your best bet through the end of the year.
