Ever notice that Green Lake’s restaurant news comes in waves? Well here’s the latest, and much of the news is concentrated to one block:

Green Lake is getting a hot pot restaurant. Da Long Yi Hot Pot is going into the former Ming China Bistro location, across the street from the Green Lake Village complex. According to the Ming website, the owners have joined the well known Chengdu brand Da Long Yi Hot Pot. They anticipate opening in Fall 2019.

After a three year anticipated opening, we can now officially say that Little Big Burger Green Lake has opened. The 7130 Woodlawn Ave NE location, which is in Green Lake Village had a soft opening last weekend and was open for normal business hours this past Monday. And to celebrate the opening, this Thursday, July 25 they are hosting a free burger day. They pay for the burgers, you pay for the fries and drinks.

Across the courtyard from Little Big Burger at the former Lucia Kitchen and Bar location, Eight Row, plans to open as soon as next month. Read more about that here.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the lake, in Tangletown… Seattle’s only all Spanish speaking cafe quietly opened a month ago. We chatted with the owner of OlĂ© Cafe to find out more.
