Green Lake has a publicly confirmed case of the novel Coronavirus.  PCC Markets closed its doors for 24 hours for a “deep clean” after a staff member who worked at the 7504 Aurora Ave. store was confirmed with COVID-19. According to a March 11th release on PCC’s web site, the unnamed staffer last worked on Sunday, March 8th.

The store as a whole will reopen Friday, Mar. 13, minus the kitchen and deli counters. The release says: “Out of an abundance of caution, the kitchen and deli of the Green Lake Aurora PCC story will be closed for 14 days, through March 26, 2020. While this staff member worked in the kitchen and is unlikely to have had “close contact” with any shopper, if you think you may have come into “close contact” with a member of our deli staff, you may contact us at healthinfo@pccmarkets.com.

The Green Lake Aurora PCC store will reopen on Friday, March 13, 2020 and be staffed by employees who did not come into “close contact” with the employee who tested positive for COVID-19.”

PCC says it is following all guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control as well as city, county, and state public health departments, and supporting staff who may have had “closer contact” with the affected staffer and are self-quarantining.
