Frelard Tamales Is Feeding People Who Have Lost Their Jobs During COVID-19

March 17, 2020 9:19pm

Need some good news in the midst of all of this chaos? How about this from Frelard Tamales –

Javier, Eva’s husband (Eva is our mom and the mastermind behind our tamales) and dad to one of the owners, recently lost most of his work hours due to COVID19. So, Frelard Tamales decided to temporarily hire him so he can help us provide FREE meals to our neighbors and community.

If you were sent home without pay; or if your work hours have been drastically cut; or if you have been laid off; or if you are concerned about finding a meal for your kids due to school closures; or if you have been economically affected by COVID19 in general, stop by our Greenlake shop starting on Tuesday (3/17) until Friday (3/20) during business hours to pick-up a free humble meal, nothing fancy.

Staff will make sandwiches and a couple other goodies for you to grab and go. No purchase necessary or questions asked. Just be honest as we want this to go for those who fit the criteria above. Just stop by the window and ask for a free meal to-go. In tough times like Seattle and the country face today, we must come together and help each other out.

Stay safe and remain optimistic.
See you next week, Tuesday-Friday (March 17th to March 20th)
Please share so we can reach folks affected.

Sincerely,
Dennis & Osbaldo
Owners of Frelard Tamales
